Digital Developer 

We are searching for a talented and creative Digital Developer to join our growing team.

As the technical lead in the Creative team, your main responsibility will be to help develop and implement high-quality, interactive display creatives for our digital advertising campaigns. We work across a wide variety of campaign executions that can include gamification features, complex interactivity and dynamic creative optimisation to name a few.   

You will report to the Director of Creative Services and work closely with the designers to bring creative concepts to life across various ad platforms so time management and communication is of importance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers to translate creative concepts into functional and visually appealing display creatives (banners, rich media, interstitials, etc.)
  • Develop and implement interactive elements within display creatives using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery or similar framework preferred).
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of display creatives across various devices (desktop, mobile, tablet).
  • Optimize display creatives for fast loading times and efficient performance.
  • Assist with A/B testing of different creative variations to optimize campaign performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in display advertising and development.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing display creatives as needed.
  • May be involved in some basic graphic design tasks (e.g., banner resizing) to support the creative team.
  • There may be the need to support the Marketing team with front-end tasks on the Blis.com site.

Skills and requirements 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Digital Developer or similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery or similar framework preferred).

  • Experience with various ad serving platforms (Celtra, DoubleClick Studio, Google Campaign Manager, etc.) a plus.

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services AWS

  • Familiarity with backend programming languages like Python and C#

  • Understanding of responsive web design principles.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  • Experience with basic animation techniques (e.g., CSS animations, basic SVG animation) a plus.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced and agile environment.

  • Familiarity with basic design principles and software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) a plus.
