Rachel Nicholson has extensive work experience in marketing and publicity, particularly in the publishing industry. Rachel started their career as a Publicity Assistant at Yale University Press in 1999. Rachel then worked as a Publicity Manager at HarperCollins Publishers from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, they founded their own company, Nicholson Novocast Limited, where they served as the Director and Publicist until 2015. Rachel then joined Carlton Books as the Head of Publicity from 2014 to 2015, and also worked as a Freelance Publicist for the company from 2011 to 2014. Currently, Rachel holds the position of Senior Head of Adult Marketing & Publicity - Non-Fiction at Bloomsbury Publishing Plc since July 2017, and previously worked as a Senior Publicity Manager for the same company from September 2015.
Rachel Nicholson attended Central Newcastle High School for their secondary education. After completing high school, they enrolled at the University of Leicester to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English Literature, with a focus on British and Commonwealth literature. Upon completing their undergraduate studies, Rachel went on to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Literature at Durham University.
