Tom Sykes

Tom Sykes is an accomplished academic and writer with extensive experience in creative writing and journalism. Currently serving as an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth since September 2011, Tom Sykes teaches various units, supervises projects, and engages in curriculum development. In addition to academic roles, Tom Sykes is an editor at Summersdale Publishers Ltd and contributes to several publications, including Private Eye and Star & Crescent, where Tom Sykes is also the founding editor. Tom Sykes has authored works for Bloomsbury Publishing Plc and Bradt Travel Guides while maintaining a freelance writing and editing career since 2005. Educationally, Tom Sykes holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature from the University of East Anglia.
