Jamil Abbas

Jamil Abbas is currently an advisor at Blossom Finance. Jamil has also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Blossom Finance from May 2018 to March 2019. Prior to that, they were an Ellipse Finance Consultant at the Ellipse Upgrade Project from October 2011 to March 2012. Abbas has also worked as an Associate Consultant - Ellipse Finance & Business Process at Mitrais from April 2011 to March 2012. In addition, Abbas served as the Head of Islamic Financial Inclusion at KNEKS - National Committee for Islamic Economy and Finance of The Republic of Indonesia from March 2019 to December 2022. Prior to that, they were the General Manager at PBMT Social Ventures Ltd. from May 2014 to April 2018 and also the Head of Strategic Alliance at PBMT Ventura from December 2013 to April 2018. Abbas has also served as the Head of Finance & HR at IPMI Business School from May 2013 to October 2013 and as the Financial Controller at Sumatra Copper and Gold from March 2012 to May 2013. Lastly, Abbas has also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees at Rahmania Foundation.

Jamil Abbas obtained their MBA in Islamic Banking & Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Jamil also has a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance from the University of Melbourne. Their Ontario Secondary School Diploma is in Accounting from Sunway College. Their SMA / Indonesian Secondary School Diploma is in Physics from SMAN 81 (Lab School).
