Priscila Lange is a skilled phytoplankton ecologist and remote sensing specialist with extensive experience in ocean optics and climate change research. Currently serving as a Collaborator Research Scientist at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and an Adjunct Principal Investigator at Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, Lange works on NOAA-JPSS funded projects focused on phytoplankton response to climate change in the Arctic Ocean. Additional roles include being an Affiliate Scientist at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science, a research scientist at the Rede Nacional de Observação e Monitoramento Oceânico, and previous positions as a visiting professor and postdoctoral researcher at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, respectively. Lange holds a DPhil in Earth Sciences from the University of Oxford and multiple academic degrees in marine biology and oceanography.
