Michael Chin

Associate Director, Business Systems at Blueprint Medicines

Michael Chin has a diverse work experience, starting in 2012 as a Residential Tutor at Upward Bound at Boston University. From 2012 to 2015, they also worked as an Engineering Intern at Rogers Science Incorporated, where they contributed to product development and grant writing in the field of biomedical light technology.

In 2012, Michael also began their involvement in Boston University's College of Engineering, serving as a Volunteer Theoretical Chemistry Researcher and later as a Student Advisor and a Teaching Assistant. During this time, they also took on the role of a Technology Innovation Scholars Program Inspiration Ambassador, reaching out to schools to promote engineering and mentor in FIRST Robotics.

In 2013, Michael became a Tutor for Upward Bound at Boston University, providing academic support to high school students in math and science subjects.

In 2015, Michael joined Accenture as a Technology Consultant, specializing in working with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical technology clients. Michael played a key role in Salesforce CRM and Veeva CRM development projects for a large pharmaceutical client, managing CRM configuration, administration, and development, as well as data integration and integrity.

Most recently, since 2019, Michael has been at Blueprint Medicines, starting as a Manager, Business Systems Analyst and progressing to their current position as Associate Director, Business Systems. Michael'sresponsibilities include managing Veeva and Salesforce.com systems for commercial, medical, and clinical teams and leading transformation, growth, and strategy for these platforms. Michael also contributes to the company's IT/IS roadmap and harmonizes commercial systems technology with overall operations data strategy.

Michael Chin attended Longmeadow High School from 2008 to 2011. Michael then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Boston University, graduating in 2015.
