Dr. Mitja Scholz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dr. Mitja is currently the Head of Supply Chain and CMC Strategy at BlueRock Therapeutics starting from April 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Head of pipeline realization at BlueRock Therapeutics from March 2021 to May 2022. Before joining BlueRock Therapeutics, they worked at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from January 2018 to March 2021 as the Head of External Manufacturing - Small Molecules. Dr. Mitja also served as the Plant Manager at Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH from January 2016 to January 2018. Dr. Scholz has previous experience at Bayer HealthCare where they held various positions including Executive Management Support - Product Supply from October 2013 to December 2015, Head of Production Planning from May 2011 to October 2013, and Inhouse Consultant/Project Manager from June 2007 to May 2011. Dr. Mitja started their career as a Student Assistant at Fraunhofer IPT from October 2004 to September 2005 and as an Intern at Fraunhofer Center of Manufacturing Innovation from May 2004 to October 2004. Dr. Mitja was also a Student Assistant at Fraunhofer IML from October 2002 to April 2004.

Dr. Mitja Scholz has a diverse education history in the field of engineering. Dr. Mitja began their education at RWTH Aachen University, where they received a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Production Technologies from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Mitja then continued their studies at TU Dortmund University, earning an Intermediate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from 2001 to 2004.

Afterwards, Dr. Scholz further pursued their education with various international experiences. Dr. Mitja attended Imperial College London from 2005 to 2006, where they completed an International Diploma in Chemical Engineering as part of a Master's Program. Dr. Mitja also had the opportunity to conduct their Diploma Thesis in Mechanical Engineering at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 2006 to 2007.

Dr. Scholz's education culminated in a doctoral degree. Dr. Mitja pursued their Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) in Mechanical Engineering at TU Dortmund University from 2008 to 2012. With this extensive education background, Dr. Mitja Scholz possesses a strong foundation in mechanical and chemical engineering.
