Steve Tzirlin

Steve Tzirlin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the entertainment industry. Steve most recently served as the Head of Film/TV Development at Blur Studio. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Creative Content and Franchise Management at Twentieth Century Fox, where they played a key role in expanding various franchise universes such as "Alien," "Planet of the Apes," and "Predator" through long-form, story-based projects across film, TV, games, and digital media.

Before joining Twentieth Century Fox, Tzirlin worked at Chernin Entertainment as a Producer, where they developed original content with franchise potential and played a significant role in creating and managing the content acquisition and original creative development for DUST, a digital channel for premium sci-fi short live-action and animated films.

Prior to Chernin Entertainment, Tzirlin had a successful tenure at Twentieth Century Fox as the Co-Head of Fox Writer's Studio and a Producer. Steve collaborated with the studio president to establish a new department focused on generating new intellectual property (IP) and expanding franchise story universes, resulting in projects like the "Maze Runner" feature film series. Tzirlin also played a key role in identifying and nurturing emerging writing and directing talent.

Tzirlin was previously the Head of Development at Lucasfilm, where they spearheaded film and TV development projects in collaboration with George Lucas and Rick McCallum. During their time at Lucasfilm, Tzirlin worked on prominent projects such as the "Star Wars" live-action series, "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," "Red Tails," and "Strange Magic." Steve supervised the hiring of writers and oversaw script development for these projects.

In addition to their work in production and development, Tzirlin has also worked as a Story Editor at Paradigm Talent Agency, Director of Development at Tomorrow Films, and Creative Executive at Artina Films. Steve started their career in the entertainment industry as a Motion Picture Literary Assistant at WME (William Morris Endeavor).
