Owen Kelly

Owen Kelly has worked in the technology industry since 1999. Owen'sfirst position was as a Senior Wireless Engineer at Nortel, where they were responsible for wireless network performance evaluation and feature design. In 2006, they joined Biopeak as Director of Engineering, where they executed key customer engagements in various human trials, finalized workflow and signal processing, supervised iOS app development, and initiated data mining for physiological data. In 2016, they became a Data Scientist at Apption Software, where they deployed machine learning in a business context. That same year, they joined Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement (SCHL) as a Senior Specialist, Modeling, where they were responsible for corporate multi-unit mortgage insurance loss models. In 2019, they joined BluWave-ai as a Senior Data Scientist.

Owen Kelly obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University between 1990 and 1996. Owen also obtained a B.A.Sc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo between 1984 and 1989.
