Olivier Renard has a strong background in software development and engineering management. Olivier started their career as a Mainframe Developer at Royal Bank of Scotland in 1998 and later moved up to become a Senior Java Developer. Olivier then joined UBS Investment Bank as a Senior Java Developer and Flex 4/Senior Java Developer. In 2012, they joined Rated People as a Senior Java Developer and later took on the role of Engineering Manager/Team Lead. Currently, they are working at BMJ as the Head of Software Architecture, where they have been since April 2020.

Olivier Renard's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (2:1) from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied German, Economics, Management, Mathematics, and Computing from 1993 to 1998.
