Olivier Renard

Olivier Renard has a strong background in software development and engineering management. Olivier started their career as a Mainframe Developer at Royal Bank of Scotland in 1998 and later moved up to become a Senior Java Developer. Olivier then joined UBS Investment Bank as a Senior Java Developer and Flex 4/Senior Java Developer. In 2012, they joined Rated People as a Senior Java Developer and later took on the role of Engineering Manager/Team Lead. Currently, they are working at BMJ as the Head of Software Architecture, where they have been since April 2020.

Olivier Renard's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (2:1) from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied German, Economics, Management, Mathematics, and Computing from 1993 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended the Goethe-Institut in 1992-1993, where they pursued German as a foreign language and obtained a Mittelstufe Bestätigung. In 1991-1992, they studied English as a foreign language (EFL) at the University of Bedfordshire and obtained TOEFL and Cambridge First Certificate. Additionally, Olivier has obtained certifications such as Neo4j Fundamentals from Neo4j in 2023 and CMI LEVEL 5 - MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP from the Chartered Management Institute in 2018.
