Kirsten Cowal

Kirsten Cowal is an experienced professional in fund development, grants management, and program evaluation, currently serving as the Senior Manager for Fund Development and Grants at BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers since September 2021. In this role, Kirsten is responsible for preparing funding requests for various government grants and overseeing compliance-related site visits. Previously, as Senior Grant Writer at Union Settlement, Kirsten successfully raised over $7 million in grants across diverse programmatic areas. Additional experience includes positions at Tinker Foundation Inc., Columbia University School of Social Work, and New York University, focusing on proposal evaluation, program management, and data analysis in social research. Kirsten holds a BA in American History from Barnard College and an MA in Community Psychology from New York University.
