Richard Newland is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in customer experience and transformation across various sectors. Currently serving as Chief Customer Officer at BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Richard is a member of the UK Executive team overseeing consumer lending P&L and leading a substantial team focused on digital engagement strategies. Prior to this, Richard held the position of Director of Retail and Workplace Transformation at Nationwide Building Society, where responsibility encompassed customer experience, location strategy, and the management of a £500M transformation program. Richard also served as Chief Marketing Officer at Openreach, Chief Commercial Officer at Zapp Payment Customer Expertise Ltd., and held significant roles at HSBC, including EVP & Global Head of Retail & Workplace Development & Design, where Richard successfully oversaw a £438M global retail strategy. Richard's academic background includes education from Duke University, Walsall College, and Henley Business School.
