Rhianna Leach

Geographic Information System Specialist at Bolton & Menk, Inc.

Rhianna Leach has had a varied work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Rhianna started their career at Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services as a Mapping Intern in 2013, where they created weekly maps, gained knowledge about utilities equipment, and updated infrastructure on maps. In 2014, they worked as a GIS Intern at the Washington County, MN Department of Public Health & Environment, where they likely gained additional GIS experience. Later in 2014, they moved on to work as a GIS Intern at the City of Savage, where they made additions and updates to their geodatabase using ArcMap, digitized infrastructure, and performed field inspections. Rhianna then joined Terracon as a Staff Scientist and Geographic Information Systems Analyst in 2014. In this role, they independently performed GIS duties, created maps for environmental reports, used Spatial Analyst for groundwater contouring, and collected data using survey-grade Trimble. Rhianna also played a role in developing and expanding the GIS capabilities of the office. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Bolton & Menk, Inc. as a Geographic Information System Specialist, where they are currently working.

Rhianna Leach completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from 2009 to 2013. Rhianna then pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Data Intelligence and GeoAnalytics from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2017 to 2019.
