Brian Wells has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Brian started their career as a Medical Technologist at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in 1998. Later, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Pearson and Bernard, PSC, specializing in Healthcare and Employment Law. In 2011, Brian joined St. Elizabeth Healthcare again as the Laboratory Compliance & Education Director. Brian then moved on to Humana as a Compliance Manager, overseeing healthcare delivery, home healthcare, care management, and private practice compliance. Brian also worked at Medpace as the Manager Third Party GRC, where they managed vendor contracts and negotiations. Currently, Brian holds the position of Vice President Compliance (Compliance Officer) at Bon Secours Mercy Health and has previously served as the Corporate Responsibility Officer - Population Health in the same organization.

Brian Wells completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Ohio University in 1998. In 1999, they obtained a Certificate in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from St Elizabeth School of Medical Technology. Later, in 2008, they earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Northern Kentucky University—Salmon P. Chase College of Law. In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained a certification in Clinical Laboratory Science from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in 1999 and became an Attorney certified by the Supreme Court of Ohio in 2008. Brian also obtained a Certified Healthcare Compliance certification from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) in 2014.
