LaVone S. has extensive work experience in the medical field. Starting in 2009, LaVone worked as a Resident Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. In 2012, they became the Chief Resident before moving on to the University of Virginia Health System in 2013. At the University of Virginia, LaVone held roles as a Cardiology Fellow and an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellow. In 2017, LaVone joined Mission Health as an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist, a position they held until 2023. Currently, LaVone is working as a Cardiologist and Medical Director at Bon Secours Mercy Health.
LaVone S. earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University in the years 2001-2005. Following this, LaVone attended the University of Virginia School of Medicine from 2005-2009, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
