Deacon Wally Calabrese

Deacon Wally Calabrese is an accomplished author and dedicated deacon at Annunciation Parish in Havelock, NC, with extensive experience in leadership and education. Since March 2019, Calabrese has authored the book "The Apostles and Me! Twelve Well Really Fifteen, Ordinary Men and One Extraordinary Lady," which received a 5-star review from Edith Wairimu for Readers’ Favorite. Prior to this, Calabrese served as the Dean of the Havelock-Cherry Point Campus at Craven Community College from July 2007 to February 2021, overseeing various academic and operational functions. A retired Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps, with a service record extending from August 1987 to August 2007, Calabrese has also pursued higher education, earning an Ed.D. in Higher Education from Northcentral University and an MA in Pastoral Theology from Saint Joseph's College.
