Elena Tolvanen

Elena Tolvanen has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Elena started their career at ABB in 1991, where they worked until 1997 in the Moscow office. In 2002, Elena joined Alstom as a Mechanical Design Engineer and stayed with the company until 2006. From 2006 to 2011, they worked at Tikkurila Oyj, where they held various roles including Project Manager, Production Manager in Russia, and Manager Engineering SBU East. Currently, Elena is employed at Borealis, where they have worked since 2011, initially as a Project Manager and now as the Lead Project Manager. In their current role, they are responsible for the overall management of projects, with extensive experience in the construction phase during Turn around.

Elena Tolvanen has a Master of Science degree in Engineering, with a focus on materials and technological processes, from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Elena also holds a Master of Science degree in Economics with a specialization in Investments from Russian Foreign Trade Academy. Additionally, they obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMCC (Project Management Competence Center) and is a member of the Project Management Institute.
