Samantha Teixeira

Samantha Teixeira is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of social work, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Boston College since July 2015. With prior experience as an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University where Samantha taught Human Behavior in the Social Environment and engaged in research on community practice and youth development, Samantha has also contributed to the University of Pittsburgh as a Teaching Fellow and Doctoral Student, earning a PhD with distinction in 2014. Additional professional experiences include roles as a Research Associate at Gist Design, Program Evaluator at Operation Better Block, Community Based Research Associate, Community Arts Planner, and Summer Legislative Intern with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, alongside early work as a Child Protective Service Worker in New Hampshire. Educational credentials include a PhD and MSW from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA from the University of New Hampshire.
