Colin Votzmeyer

Colin Votzmeyer is an experienced professional in journalism and education, currently serving as an Honors Publications Teaching Assistant and Editor at the University of Iowa since August 2023. Votzmeyer has a robust background in sports journalism as the Sports Editor for The Daily Iowan, along with previous roles including Assistant Sports Editor, Sports Reporter, Digital Producer, and News Reporter, demonstrating expertise in story assignment, editing, and audience engagement. Additionally, Votzmeyer has interned with the Circuit Court of Cook County's Adult Probation Department, gaining insight into the legal system. With practical experience from various coaching and youth development roles, Votzmeyer is pursuing a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, complemented by minors in History and Criminology, Law, and Justice at the University of Iowa.
