Fiona Munro

Program Chair, School of Technology at BOW VALLEY COLLEGE

Fiona is originally from Nova Scotia and completed her undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University. In 2010, she earned her master’s degree in communication and brand marketing from the University of Ottawa. Fiona is currently pursuing her doctorate in communication and media at the University of Calgary. Her research focuses on sponsorship, consumer marketing, and risk perception.

Fiona previously worked as a sponsor account manager with the Calgary Stampede and has taught at the University of Ottawa and the University of Calgary.

She is a frequent guest lecturer and conference speaker. Recently, she presented at the Marketing and Communications for Post-Secondary Conference in Toronto on connecting with millennials on and off campus.

In the spring of 2018 Fiona completed a 31-day transatlantic crossing, sailing from France to the British Virgin Islands.
