Erin Oswald is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nanotechnology Engineering at the University of Waterloo, with an expected graduation in 2024. From January to August 2023, Erin served as a Research Assistant at Cornell University, focusing on RNase J characterization in Arabidopsis plastids, managing 12 transgenic lines, and verifying protein expression through Western blot and immunoprecipitation techniques, alongside employing confocal microscopy for protein localization. Prior to Cornell, Erin worked as a Doubled Haploid Research Assistant at Corteva Agriscience from September 2021 to April 2022, and as a Platform Developer at Cinchy from January 2021 to April 2021. Additional experience includes a role as a Research Assistant in Additive Manufacturing Material Development at the Multi-Scale Additive Manufacturing Laboratory in summer 2020, and significant coaching positions at Oakville Gymnastics Club from January 2015 to June 2019, training competitive gymnasts.
