Abiba Lecky

Abiba Lecky has extensive experience in the field of youth development and engagement. In 2017, they worked as a Community Education Coordinator at Minneapolis Public Schools, where they were responsible for coordinating community education programs.

Starting in 2018, Abiba joined Youth Care Minnesota as a Community Relationship Manager, where they managed relationships with the community and developed partnerships to support the organization's mission.

During their time at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, Abiba held multiple roles focused on teen programming and advocacy. From September 2018 to September 2020, they served as a Teen Specialist, implementing and facilitating programs for teens. Later, they became a Teen Advocacy Liaison for a brief period from September 2020 to January 2021. Finally, they took on the role of Teen Pathways Director from January 2021 to March 2023, overseeing the strategic development of programming for teens.

Currently, Abiba Lecky is the Director of Teen Engagement and Youth Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In this position, they are responsible for implementing a strategic framework to promote the growth and development of teens. Their main focus is on designing and leading teen programs, with a particular emphasis on the national Keystone conference and associated teen programming. Additionally, they provide guidance and direction to increase nationwide teen membership and enhance club operations.

Abiba Lecky's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Minnesota.
