Derrick Deen has a diverse work experience in various roles related to scouting, coaching, and content creation in the field of football. Derrick is the Founder of Dump It Off Scouting, where they write scouting reports and provides analytical pieces on NFL Draft prospects. Derrick also analyzes college football teams and provides insight on their standing.

Prior to that, Derrick worked as an NFL Draft Scout for Blue Chip Scouting and as a Lead Youth Development Professional and Director of NFL Flag Football Operations at Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Derrick has also served as an Instructional Assistant at Jennings Creek Elementary and as a Recruiting Coordinator at Jacksonville Athletic Academy, where they oversaw all aspects of recruiting for the football program.

Derrick has worked as an Area Scout Associate/Football Ops for Hula Bowl, where they wrote scouting reports and provided deep-dive analysis on athletes competing in the event. Derrick also served as the quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator at Henry F. Moss Middle School for a single season.

In terms of content creation, Derrick has worked as a College Football Researcher/Content creator for Rivals.com. Derrick collaborated with creators and editors to provide accurate, insightful, and professional media content for college football readers. Derrick was also the associate editor of WKU Football, where they primarily wrote pieces about the depth chart, coaching staff, and incoming recruits.

Additionally, Derrick has worked as a Writer/Scout for Coast To Coast Scouting and as a Football Writer and Analyst for Sidelines Sports Network, where they wrote articles consistently and provided reliable insight to fans. Derrick also built a Twitter account for the network, gaining 600 followers with an average of 26 interactions per post.

Derrick Deen attended Russellville Junior/Senior High School from 2017 to 2020 and graduated. Following that, they enrolled at Western Kentucky University in 2020 and is expected to complete their studies in 2025. At the university, Derrick is pursuing a degree in English for Secondary Teachers with a focus on English/Language Arts Teacher Education.

In addition to their formal education, Derrick has obtained several certifications from the United States Department of Defense. In December 2021, they received certifications as a Rescue Technician, specializing in Confined Space Rescue, Rope Rescue I, and Structural Collapse. Furthermore, Derrick obtained certifications in Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Hazmat Ops Mass Decontamination, and Hazmat Ops PPE in June 2021.
