Tanya spent much of her childhood adoring her teachers, playing school in the basement, and even date-stamping her own “library books” with an old rubber stamp. There was no surprise when she attended the University of Northern Colorado to obtain her teaching license. She taught upper elementary and middle school grades for over a decade, and then pursued motherhood and small business ownership. Her small business, KidzArt, allowed her to work with teachers and students, as well as community members. She developed after-school programs and other interactive events for people of all ages. The best part: she was able to integrate the best of teaching onto a different canvas.
Tanya spent a portion of her career working in Outreach and Education for a non-profit organization, where she managed large-scale projects to guide teachers toward curriculum and resources in the earth sciences arena.
To be on the Brain Chase team is an honor, as this work ties all of Tanya’s professional interests together in a truly unique way!
