Craig Tata

Craig Tata has worked in the IT industry for over 15 years. In 2015, they began working at Brainshark as the Director of Governance, Risk, and Compliance and Data Protection Officer. Craig was later promoted to Security Architect and Data Protection Officer, and then Security Architect, where they were responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide security and technical risk management. Prior to Brainshark, Craig worked at Grasshopper from 2007 to 2015 as Regulatory Compliance Manager and Senior Operations Engineer. Craig was responsible for ensuring Grasshopper's compliance with state and federal regulations and for supporting a 24/7 web services and telecommunications operation. Before Grasshopper, Craig worked at Worcester Publishing from 2005 to 2007 as a Systems Support Specialist, where they maintained and troubleshot hardware and software assets for a company with approximately 100 users in three geographically dispersed locations.

Craig Tata obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Music Teacher Education from Westfield State University in 1991. Craig then went on to earn their Master of Music in Conducting from the University of Miami in 1993. In 2006, Craig earned their A+ certification from CompTIA and their Web Technologies Certificate from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2005. In 2008, they obtained their Network+ certification from CompTIA. In 2008, Craig earned their Master of Science (MS) in Information Assurance from Norwich University. In 2015, they obtained their Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) from the Cloud Security Alliance. In 2017, they earned their Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)\u00b2. Finally, in 2018, Craig obtained their CIPP/E from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
