Shawn Galey

Shawn Galey has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Shawn has held executive positions at companies such as Brambles, where they served as Vice President, General Counsel & Government Affairs for the Americas & Asia. Shawn also served as Managing Director, Commercial Affairs at Bloomberg Television, overseeing commercial activities in the Asia-Pacific region. Galey has extensive experience in the media industry, having directed business and legal affairs for ESPN STAR Sports and CNBC. Prior to their roles in the media sector, they worked at GE in management and legal positions, including General Counsel for GE Silicones. Galey began their legal career at law firms Reed Smith LLP, Nishimura & Asahi, and Shearman & Sterling LLP. Overall, they have a strong background in legal matters, business development, and international transactions.

Shawn Galey completed their Bachelor of Science degree with University Honors at Carnegie Mellon University from 1978 to 1982, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering & Public Policy. Shawn then pursued further education at Cornell Law School, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (JD) cum laude from 1982 to 1986, specializing in International Law and Legal Studies. During the same period, they also attended Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and earned an MBA with a focus on International Finance from 1983 to 1985.
