Laura de Carvalho

Laura De Carvalho, BSc, MBA, currently serves as the Director of Business Excellence at Brazilian Nickel, a position held since February 2024. Previously, Laura was the Americas Mining & Metals Centre of Excellence Lead at EY from July 2022 to February 2024 and an Operational Excellence Consultant (Principal) at Vale between March 2021 and July 2022. Laura co-founded P3N Projetos Ambientais in January 2017, where a strategy was designed that secured over 40 projects in 18 months. Experience also includes a role as Planning Manager at BIOMA Meio Ambiente, where significant initiatives in company transformation and sustainability were implemented. Earlier career roles included Operations Manager, Biologist, and Environmental Permitting Analyst, with a strong focus on environmental compliance in the mining sector. Educational credentials encompass a Master of Business Administration from McGill University and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from PUC Minas.
