Matthew Wheeler

Matthew Wheeler has diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Matthew is currently working at BreatheSuite as a Software Engineering Manager, where they started in September 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Mobile Application Team Lead from January 2021 to September 2021 and as a Mobile Engineer from September 2019 to January 2021.

Before joining BreatheSuite, Matthew worked at Fytics as a Mobile Product Manager/iOS Developer. In this role, they were responsible for designing and managing iOS and Android applications from scratch. Matthew also managed timelines and ensured timely app releases. Additionally, they took on QA responsibilities to ensure stable releases.

Matthew gained valuable experience at SkyHawk Telematics as a Software Developer from February 2017 to July 2018. Matthew worked on various projects using Python, PHP, and JavaScript to develop in-house solutions. Matthew also had exposure to database design, query design, and user interface maintenance. Matthew successfully resolved bugs and issues while utilizing Jira for support ticket tracking.

Prior to SkyHawk Telematics, Matthew worked at Sentinel Alert as a Software Developer, contributing to front end, back end, mobile, and deep data layers. Matthew aided in the development of a mapping solution involving GPS data extraction and rendering on a map. Matthew also participated in data observation and labeling at customer sites.

Matthew began their career as a Cryptanalyst at the Government of Canada in September 2015. Matthew later worked as a Technician (iOS) at Jump+ in 2015. Matthew also gained valuable experience as a Software Development Intern at Bluedrop Performance Learning from May 2014 to December 2015.

Following their undergraduate studies, Matthew enrolled in the College of the North Atlantic from 2013 to 2016 to pursue a degree in Business Administration and Management, specializing as a Programmer Analyst.
