Beat Hofer has extensive work experience in finance and accounting, with a focus on internal control and risk management. Beat started their career at Cap Gemini as an analyst programmer, gaining knowledge of finance organizations and system structures. Beat then moved on to Philip Morris, where they held several finance positions and was responsible for general accounting, cost accounting, financial analysis, hedging, and treasury.
Afterward, they joined Corporate Treasury Tetra Laval as a Corporate Treasury Controller, where they built up internal control mechanisms, handled accounting and reporting on IFRS, and managed risk management for the Worldwide Treasury Center.
Hofer then worked at Tetral SA as the Director and Head of Operations and Internal Control, overseeing operations, IT, accounting, reporting, and internal control for the Asset Management Division. Beat successfully implemented a Front-to-Back Information system within 24 months.
Beat later joined Total as the Director and Head of Finance, Accounting, Internal Control, and IT for a Market Company, where they were responsible for all finance and accounting aspects, managing a turnover of 0.6 billion EUR and a team of 85 people.
Currently, Hofer is working at Montres Breguet SA, a Swatch Group Company, as the Vice-President and Head of Finance, HR, IT, and Admin. Their responsibilities include supervising finance, human resources, IT, security, and administration departments, as well as handling legal matters, planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Beat Hofer attended HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne from 1983 to 1986. Beat obtained a degree in Finance and Controlling, specializing in Business administration and Finance.
