Michael J. Smith

Mr. Smith earned a B.A. degree in political science from UCLA and his J.D. degree from Santa Clara University School of Law. He was born in Chicago and later moved to the Bay Area. Mr. Smith began his practice at a small insurance defense firm in San Francisco. He later worked as house counsel for Farmers Insurance Group and AAA. His area of practice is general litigation. He negotiates, mediates, arbitrates, and has tried over 50 cases.

In Mr. Smith’s spare time, he enjoys long walks and hikes, and reading, mainly nonfiction.
