Kareem Crayton

Senior Director, Voting Rights & Representation at Brennan Center for Justice

Kareem Crayton serves as Vice President at the Brennan Center for Justice in Washington DC since April 2023, previously holding the position of Senior Director of Voting & Representation. As Founder and Managing Partner of Crimcard Consulting Services since January 2010, Crayton specializes in policy, strategy, and research for non-profit and advocacy sectors. Formerly, Crayton was Executive Director and Interim Executive Director at the Southern Coalition for Social Justice from January 2018 to March 2020, and held academic positions as Visiting Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University and Law Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Earlier roles include Associate Professor at USC Law School, Foreign Law Clerk for the Republic of South Africa Constitutional Court, and Honors Clerk at the Department of Justice. Crayton holds an AB in Government from Harvard University and a JD/PhD in Law and Political Science from Stanford University, along with a JD from Stanford Law School.
