About the Part-Time Marketing Associate Staff Role

BRIC seeks a Part-Time Marketing Associate to support our marketing team with administrative tasks related to marketing campaigns across all programming areas. The ideal candidate has experience in marketing, communications, and/or an administrative role, and a strong interest in BRIC’s mission and values. They will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Create marketing emails and maintain BRIC’s newsletter audience

  • Research, manage and execute strategic cross-promotion and calendar listings for the programming

  • Assist the Manager in tracking campaign performance and creating marketing recaps

  • Track press hits and maintain press lists

  • Build and update web pages on WordPress

  • Assist the Social Media Consultant in capturing and editing content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)

  • Attend in-person events as needed to support marketing tasks such as social media capture, distributing audience surveys, and marketing collateral

  • Support other Marketing Department needs across all BRIC’s programming areas, including Contemporary Art, Performing Arts, Community Media, Media Education, Youth Education, BRIC House Party, and BRIC TV.

Other Things to Know:

  • Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is $20.00.

Schedule & Location: 3-4 days (20-25 hrs) per week. This non-exempt role is based at our Downtown Brooklyn office with a partially in-person, partially remote schedule. The Associate may also need to attend events on evenings and weekends, especially during the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! season.
