Venkat Avvaru

Venkat Avvaru began their career in 1994 as a Sr Systems Analyst at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where they worked on multiple turnkey projects and gained experience in all aspects of the software development life cycle. Venkat then worked as a Consultant at HTC Global Services Inc, where they designed workflow applications for clients, and later joined Yantra Corporation as a Lead Developer, responsible for the development and maintenance of Order fulfillment Software products. At Sterling Commerce, an AT&T Company, Venkat served as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, overseeing the development and delivery of multiple products and merging acquired software products with commerce products. Venkat then joined IBM as a Director, Software Development, driving the strategy for transforming on-premise products to cloud-based offerings and developing modular services. Most recently, they served as the Senior Director of Engineering at Wickr before assuming their current position as the Vice President of Software Engineering at Bright Horizons.

Venkat Avvaru obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, during the period of 1990 to 1994.
