North America Sr. Logistics & Operations Manager at Bright Machines

Eduardo Casillas has over 16 years of experience in logistics and operations management. Eduardo started their career at Sanmina-SCI as a Logistics and Customs Analyst, where they focused on IMMEX & NAFTA analysis, scrap and customs inventory control, and assets control. Eduardo then moved to Jabil as a Senior Traffic Analyst, specializing in inbound and outbound logistics, MOCEIME legal inventory control, and IMMEX export-import transportation.

After that, Eduardo joined Ciena as a Logistics Project Manager, where they managed customer returns, rework, repairs, and class A inventory. Eduardo also served as a Fulfillment & Logistics Manager, overseeing on-time deliveries and order fulfillment. Eduardo played a key role in moving Ciena's Direct Order Fulfillment from headquarters to Flextronics Guadalajara.

Most recently, Eduardo worked at Bright Machines as a Sr. Logistics & Operations Manager. Eduardo led the operations of logistics, purchasing, distribution, and warehousing in Mexico and Latin America. Eduardo was responsible for implementing a 3PL IMMEX plan that resulted in annual savings of $45,000 by cutting tariffs and VAT taxes.

In addition to their work in the industry, Eduardo is also a Professor of International Business at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Eduardo brings a wealth of experience to their teaching role, with a specialization in negotiations and logistics.

Continuing their education, in 2019, Eduardo attended the Tecnológico de Monterrey once again for a "Diplomado en Cadena de Suministro para Análisis de Decisiones Logísticas," concentrating on logistics management, materials management, and supply chain management.

Alongside their academic achievements, Eduardo also holds additional certifications. In July 2019, they obtained a certification in "Administración y Operación de la Cadena de Suministro para Análisis de Decisiones Logísticas" from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Furthermore, they have a Green Belt certification from Ciena Communications, although specific dates of achievement are not available.
