Mark Howard

Mark Howard has a solid work experience in the field of Information Technology. Mark is currently the Head of Information Technology at Brightseed, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they had worked as a Principal at Bay Bio IT from 2022. From 2020 to 2022, Mark was the Senior Director of IT Applications at Nektar Therapeutics, where they led the Commercialization effort and directed the Sales, General, and Administrative applications group.

Before joining Nektar Therapeutics, Mark worked as a Partner at Fortium Partners from 2018 to 2020. Mark also served as the Vice President of Information Technology at Depomed, Inc. from 2007 to 2018, where they led various initiatives in transitioning the company and implementing multiple IT systems and tools.

Mark's previous experiences include working as a Senior Director of Information Technology at Pharmacyclics from 2003 to 2007, as well as a Principal Consultant at Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd and McGrath from 1995 to 2002. Mark started their career as a Programmer Analyst/Team Leader at US Sprint from 1983 to 1988.

Throughout their career, Mark Howard has gained expertise and leadership skills in IT applications, cyber security, collaborative tools implementation, product serialization, enterprise applications, disaster recovery planning, and IT system transitions.

Mark Howard received their BA in Economics from UCLA in 1983. Mark then pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business from 1990 to 1993.
