Kelsey J.

Kelsey J. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2009 to 2023. Starting in 2009, they served as a College of Sciences Peer Advisor at the University of New Orleans. In 2014, Kelsey interned at St. Patrick's Behavioral Health Hospital and also worked as a Counselor Intern at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. They then became a Program Clinician at New Beginnings Adolescent Recovery Center. From 2015 to 2016, Kelsey worked as a Counselor at both Vermillion Behavioral and Townsend Addiction Treatment Centers. In 2016, they joined the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office as a Mental Health Professional. Finally, in 2018, Kelsey became the Owner and Licensed Therapist at Anchor of Hope and Strength, LLC, where they worked until 2023.

Kelsey J. has a diverse education history. Kelsey attended Northshore High School from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Following that, they pursued higher education at the University of New Orleans from 2007 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology. Building on their undergraduate studies, Kelsey pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor from the University of Louisiana Monroe, which they completed from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Kelsey has obtained several certifications in the field. Kelsey became a Licensed Professional Counselor [Supervisor] through the LA Licensed Professional Counselors in March 2017. Later, they obtained their National Certified Counselor certification from the National Board of Certified Counselors in September 2016. Kelsey obtained their Licensed Mental Health Counselor license from the Washington State Department of Health in April 2022. Kelsey also holds a Licensed Professional Counselor license from the State of Georgia, which they obtained in December 2022. Lastly, Kelsey holds the title of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor 068.0134625 from the State of Vermont, acquired in June 2022.
