Piers Mudd has held a variety of roles in the corporate world, beginning with their service in the British Army as an Officer in the Queens Royal Lancers in 2004. In 2009, they became an Operations Manager at The Risk Advisory Group, and later was promoted to General Manager of Corporate Risk at Lynceus in 2010. In 2011, they joined AOS Orwell as a New Business Manager for Africa, and in the same year, they were part of a successful 4-man deal team that managed and closed 3 acquisitions, adding $100m to the company's annual revenues. In 2015, they co-founded Caribbean Oilfield Services (Guyana) Inc., and in 2017, they co-founded NNP Capital Partners Ltd. and Pomeroon Trading. In 2019, they became the Founding CEO & Director of Yalelo Uganda, and in 2022, they were appointed Chief Operating Officer of Brilliant Planet.

Piers Mudd's education history includes attending Uppingham School from 1994-1999, Mowden Hall from 1989-1994, and Salisbury School from 1999-2000. Piers then went on to receive a BSc in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol from 2000-2003. In 2004, they obtained an Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI. Piers then attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst for Leadership & Management from 2004-2005. In 2008-2009, they obtained an MLitt in International Relations & Terrorism from the University of St Andrews. Finally, in 2014, they obtained an Executive Finance degree from INSEAD.
