Ian Bicking

Ian Bicking is a product prototyper at Brilliant.org since May 2023, focusing on AI and LLM-assisted educational content creation and experiences, and developing GPT-based pipelines for content analysis and generation. Previously, Bicking worked as a research engineer at Meta Reality Labs, specializing in AR input explorations, and held multiple roles at Mozilla over a decade, including staff prototyping and research engineer for voice-controlled web user agents, tech lead for Firefox Screenshots, and engineering manager for both the Hello communication tool and Cloud Services. Earlier career experience includes senior programming positions at The Open Planning Project and Imaginary Landscape LLC. Ian Bicking holds a degree from Earlham College, completed the altMBA program in 2019, and earned an AI nanodegree from Udacity in 2017.
