Tara Tressel

Tara Tressel, PhD, currently serves as Lead User Researcher at Brilliant.org since May 2022. Previously, Tara held the role of User Research Manager at Study.com from June 2020 to April 2022 and worked as a Design Researcher and Learning Experiences Program Manager at Element AI between October 2017 and June 2020. Prior experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at McGill University from August 2012 to October 2017, where responsibilities encompassed data analysis, study design, and educational research blogging. As a PhD candidate in Learning Sciences at McGill University, Tara focused on designing technologies that facilitate learning, particularly through the ATLAS lab. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from McGill University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Roosevelt University. Additionally, Tara worked as an Education Design Researcher at Ready Education, contributing to the development of a mobile app aimed at enhancing student campus life.
