Marianella Ortiz Montes

Marianella Ortiz Montes currently serves as the Head of Schools at the British Council, a position held since March 2024. Prior to this role, Marianella worked as an Asesora del despacho Ministra de Educación at the Ministerio de Educación Nacional from April 2023 to March 2024. From March 2020 to March 2023, Marianella was a Consultor de educación at the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo. Earlier experience includes time at the Instituto Colombiano para la Evaluación de la Educación (ICFES), where responsibilities included project management and planning as a contractor from September 2015 to March 2020, and serving as the Coordinadora Observatorio de Políticas Públicas - POLIS at Universidad ICESI from August 2013 to August 2015. Marianella holds a professional degree and a Master's degree in Economics from Universidad Icesi, completed between 2008 and 2013.
