Stephen Harrison

Stephen Harrison is a seasoned software engineer and technology expert with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at British Gas since January 2015, Stephen specializes in Hadoop technologies and coding in Java and Scala. Prior to this role, Stephen worked as a Business Intelligence Architect at O2 UK from June 2006 to December 2014, where the focus was on prototyping and innovative solutions. Stephen's career also includes positions as a Systems and Database Administrator at Brown Shipley and as a Database Administrator at Abbey National Treasury Services. Earlier experience includes a long tenure at ICL Fujitsu as a Technical Design Authority. Stephen holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Portsmouth, completed in 1988, and attended St. Wilfrid's C of E High School from 1976 to 1983.
