Gemma Hamilton has a diverse work experience in the field of marketing and communications. Gemma started their career at TBWA Paling Walters as an Account Director from October 2003 to December 2007. Gemma then joined AMV BBDO as an Account Director from January 2008 to July 2010, and later transitioned to the role of Planner from August 2010 to August 2011. Gemma then moved to Havas Worldwide, where they worked as a Senior Planner from August 2011 to February 2017. During their time at Havas, they were also part of the Inaugural Member of the Havas Lofts Program in October to November 2014. Currently, Gemma is working at the British Red Cross, where they started as a Strategic Communications Planning Partner from February 2017 to December 2017. Gemma then took on the role of Interim Director of Marketing Communications from January 2018 to July 2018. Gemma's current position at the British Red Cross is the Head of Brand and Strategic Marketing, which they started in January 2018.

Gemma Hamilton has a solid educational background. Gemma obtained their Bachelor's degree in Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge, completing their studies from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, in 1998-1999, they engaged in a Teaching/Volunteering program in Brazil through Project Trust. Before their higher education, they attended Dr Challoners High School from 1996 to 1998 and Pipers Corner School from 1990 to 1996. In terms of certifications, Gemma received the Certified Agile Leadership I from Scrum Alliance in 2020.
