Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is a leader in the broadcast industry, providing live production and managed services. We are expanding our team in Washington, DC, and are looking for a talented and versatile Production Manager to join us full-time. This role is pivotal in ensuring our digital presence is both visually appealing and highly functional.

The Production Manager will provide hands-on support for Broadcast Management Group’s live production division. The Production Manager will be responsible for the oversight of production requests originating from various parts of the organization, will build production schedules for projects in our facilities and off-site, will build production books, will be responsible for maintaining budgets and reconciling invoicing, managing freelance bookings, and assist with growing our freelance production network. The Production Manager will have extensive experience working in and overseeing resources for live, multi-camera production environments and have strong industry connections, especially in the sports production.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the lead project manager for assigned productions

  • Oversee production intake requests and manage productions from origination to completion

  • Facilitate regular meetings with venues, clients, vendors, and internal staff as part of the production planning process

  • Create and distribute production schedules, timelines, tech books, and call sheets for assigned projects

  • Book, schedule, and manage freelance labor to support existing staff as appropriate

  • Book, schedule, and manage BMG staff and resources assigned to projects

  • Expand the company’s freelance database in both domestic and international locales

  • Build and manage production budgets for all assigned projects, including tracking expenses and reconciling all contractor and vendor invoices post-show

  • Book and manage travel for staff and freelance labor in support of assigned shows

  • Order craft services and meals for on-site and remote crews in support of assigned shows

  • Facilitate the training of freelance technical personnel to fill-in on an as needed basis

  • Write a weekly report summarizing all production activities and goals/schedule for the upcoming week

  • Foster healthy long-term client and vendor relationships
