Bruce Jones has a strong background in international relations and policy. Bruce started their career in 2005 as the Director of the Center on International Cooperation at New York University. In 2009, they became a Consulting Professor at Stanford University. From 2010 to 2012, they served as a Senior Advisor to the World Bank. In 2014, they became a Member of the High-level Panel of Independent Experts on Peace Operations at the United Nations. Also in 2014, they joined The Brookings Institution as the Deputy Director for Foreign Policy and Senior Fellow, eventually becoming the Vice President and Director in 2015. In 2020, they took on the role of Project Director at The Brookings Institution.
Bruce Jones completed their education with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1990. Bruce then pursued a Master's Degree in International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1991 to 1992. Subsequently, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 1997.
Bruce further expanded their knowledge by participating in the Pre-Doctoral Program at Stanford University, specializing in International Security from 1997 to 1998. In 2019, they attended Wharton Executive Education, where they focused on Business Administration and Management, General.
