Michael Aldrich

Global Head of Operational Strategy at Brown Advisory

Michael Aldrich is the current Global Head of Operational Strategy at Brown Advisory. Prior to this, they served as the National Director of Private Client Services at AllianceBernstein from 2010 to 2012. Aldrich has also held various positions in Private Client Wealth Management at AllianceBernstein from 2003 to 2008.

Aldrich has over 15 years of experience in the financial industry. Michael started their career at Bernstein Global Wealth Management in 2003, where they eventually became Vice President in 2008. In this role, Aldrich managed 7 direct reports and 160 staff members supporting 110 Financial Advisors. Michael also led numerous national projects focused on compensation, cost controls, risk management, headcount projection, compliance and audits, and human capital management.

In 2010, Aldrich joined AllianceBernstein as the National Director of Private Client Services. In this role, they oversaw the firm’s private client business nationwide. Michael was responsible for managing a team of regional directors and developing strategies to grow the business.

Aldrich has a proven track record of success in leadership roles in the financial industry. Michael is an expert in developing and coaching new managers, leading national projects, and overseeing private client businesses.

Michael Aldrich attended Virginia Tech for their BS in Finance and Georgetown University for their Master's in Executive Leadership. Michael also has a training certificate in Wealth Management from the Bernstein Private Client Financial Advisor Training Program.

Michael Aldrich reports to Michael D. Hankin, President & CEO. Michael Aldrich works with Carey Taylor - Head of Sustainable Investing Business, Brien White - COO of U.S. PCE&F, and Rebecca Sugarman - CHRO.
