Kirsten Hawley

SVP, CHRO at Brown-Forman

Kirsten Hawley is the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Brown-Forman. Kirsten has over 25 years of experience in human resources and has held leadership positions at several organizations.

Kirsten began their career as a Research Assistant at the Max Planck Institute in 1992. Kirsten then became an Educational Consultant at City Colleges of Chicago in 1991, before moving into the role of Outplacement Counselor at Fort Knox Job Assistance Center in 1994. Kirsten joined Trans Financial Bank as an HR Specialist in 1996 and remained with the organization until 1997.

Kirsten joined Brown-Forman in 1999 as the Director of Human Resources. In their 20 years with the company, they have held various roles including Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Human Resources Officer. Kirsten has been instrumental in developing and implementing several employee initiatives, programs, and policies during their time at Brown-Forman.

Kirsten Hawley has a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science & Communications from James Madison University.

Kirsten Hawley reports to Lawson Whiting, President & CEO. They work with Tim Nall - SVP, Chief Global Supply Chain & Technology Officer, Matthew E. Hammel - EVP, General Counsel & Secretary, and Jeremy Shepherd - SVP, President, USA and Canada.
