Hooman Pour has a diverse work experience in various industries. Hooman currently works as a Senior Lead Auditor/Client Manager for BSI since January 2018. Prior to that, they worked at the Therapeutic Goods Administration from June 2016 to January 2018, where they held roles as a Technical Leader and a Medical Devices Engineering Assessor. Before that, Hooman worked as a Design Engineer at Brien Holden Vision Institute from August 2011 to February 2016. Hooman also has experience in academia, having worked as a Teaching Assistant and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of New South Wales from July 2012 to December 2014, and as a Health & Safety Representative from August 2012 to April 2014. Hooman Pour holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tehran, which they obtained from 2004 to 2009. Hooman further pursued their education and completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering from UNSW, from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their academic qualifications, Hooman has obtained several certifications in various fields, including Medical Device Regulation, Medical Devices Risk Management, ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001:2015 QMS - Requirements, Medical Device Directive (MDD) to Regulations (MDR) Migration, and Clinical Epidemiology.
