Panagiotis Moulos

Research Assistant Professor - Researcher C at BSRC Alexander Fleming

Panagiotis Moulos is an experienced bioinformatician with a robust background in Next Generation Sequencing applications, including ChIP-Seq and RNA-Seq. Currently serving as a Research Assistant Professor at BSRC Alexander Fleming since June 2012, Moulos has developed algorithms and software, alongside overseeing data management. Previous positions include Associate Staff Scientist and "Stavros Niarchos" Foundation Researcher in Bioinformatics, focusing on similar developmental work. As a co-founder of HybridStat Predictive Analytics from April 2014 to March 2023, Moulos provided high-throughput bioinformatics services and contributed to software development. Prior experience includes postdoctoral fellowships at INSERM and BSRC, and research at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, with a strong emphasis on statistical analysis and workflow organization for genomics data. Moulos holds a PhD in Bioinformatics from the National Technical University of Athens, an MSc in Bioinformatics from Université libre de Bruxelles, and a Bachelor in Applied Mathematics and Physics from the same institution.
