Marc Biehl

Marc Biehl, FACHE has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Marc began their career at HCA, where they completed an Administrative Residency in Healthcare Administration, gaining comprehensive knowledge of hospital operations. After that, they worked at NYLCare Health Plans of the Gulf Coast as a Contract Analyst and later as a Network Executive, negotiating contracts and managing a team.

Biehl then joined Memorial Hermann Healthcare System as an Associate Director in Business Development, where they managed managed care contracts for major academic institutions. Marc then moved to CIGNA Healthcare, starting as a Contract Manager and eventually becoming the Associate Vice President. In this role, they planned and drove the provider network contracting strategy and sales planning process.

Next, Biehl joined Tenet Healthcare as an Associate Administrator and Director of Business Development, where they facilitated the strategic direction of Houston Northwest Medical Center. Marc was responsible for strategic planning, product line development, client and physician development, and brand management.

Following their time at Tenet Healthcare, Biehl worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas as a Network Development Consultant, supporting the development of the BlueAdvantage HMO exchange product.

Since 2013, Biehl has been with Baylor Scott & White Health. Marc initially served as the Director of Strategic Planning, providing comprehensive strategic planning services for the organization's Central Texas market. Marc was later promoted to the System Director of Strategic Planning, responsible for the development and execution of strategic growth planning, analytics-based strategic planning, and operational planning for the entire integrated healthcare delivery system.

Throughout their career, Biehl has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, contract negotiation, network development, and sales planning. Marc has a strong track record of driving growth and profitability in healthcare organizations.

Marc Biehl, FACHE has a BA in Economics from Baylor University. Marc also holds an MHA/MBA degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Additionally, they obtained a Leadership Fellow certification from the Texas Hospital Association in 2022 and became a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2014.
