Rok Spruk is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, with a career spanning numerous prestigious institutions. Since January 2016, Rok has contributed to the field through roles such as Assistant Professor and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, focusing on the long-run effects of institutions on economic development and human well-being. Currently, Rok serves as a Visiting Research Professor at Bucerius Law School and an Adjunct Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia. Previous experience includes teaching assistance in a flood risk management program at UNESCO-IHE and research roles at Universiteit Utrecht. Education includes a Ph.D. in Economic History from Utrecht University and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Economics from Utrecht University and the University of Ljubljana, respectively.
